Well it’s the end of August and pursuit of funny fish has begun in earnest. All the gas that was saved due to limited trips or trailer problems will be burned as I head back and forth to islands south and west.

Vineyard Sound
Get out early and look for typical sign of the existence of fish. You know the sign? Boats circled up. That is all I’m allowed to say on the subject at the moment.

Outer Beaches

Best best is after dark, goods sized stripers are being taken.

North Side

Despite an early trip I did not see much happening in Barnstable. Granted there was thick fog. Still some good schoolie action along some of the edges.

Sandy Neck, some little bluefish along the beach. Evening rising tide there was some serious bird activity about 500 yds off the beach.

Sorry for such a short report. I’m have my 5 yo grandson with me this week and have been entertaining him. We have a couple freshwater trips under our belt. He can cast about 10ft. Bait his hook (sort of) and remove a 3″ yellow perch from the hook on his own.
