Sorry about the quality of last week’s reports. I was off to Denver on Thursday for five days. The challenge since I’ve returned is getting up early to hit the fishing while it is still productive. Find cooler water down deep and you may be well reward.
With this heat wave the waters are heating up. Mostly small blues in the rips and you may have to work for them. Some nice size scup and black sea bass over by Horseshoe shoal.
Capt. Phil Cronin at Capawok Charters reports:
Another visit to Crocland with the Thomas family reunion. This time with Kathy, John, and Mike. There were sore arms and smiling faces when we got back to the dock.
BTW, On The Water is reporting that a bonito was trolled up off the Vineyard this week.
Not hard to figure out where the fish are…look for the commercial fleet.
Some sunrise action along the some beaches but ends quickly as the sun rise. Barnstable Harbor looked like it had the entire fleet of charter boats poppin wire. As pictured above tube and worm works well. For the fly guys there are still schoolies to play with, just be sure to have your sinking line and maybe use a clouser as well for depth.
Capt. Terry Nugent of Riptide has been tearing it up…
Capt. Shaun Ruge of Riptide had this pic – do you think there *might* be fish there?
