Mid May thru July I sight fish to stripers in Peconic and Gardiners Bay using a Hewes flats skiff. 7 and 8 Wts with intermediate lines and sand eel patterns are what we use. From early September thru mid December I am at Montauk in my 23 Parker chasing stripers albies and blues during Montauks legandary fall run. 9 thru 11 Wts with small anchovy patterns to BIG decievers being thrown with a combination of intermediate to sink lines all work.
