Pogeman,

I hope you catch this in time. Just talked to a buddy who fished the back beaches this weekend. He said the mung would blow in one tide and out the next. After it left, he said the fishing was great. I hope you follow your instinct and head down. I sure wish I could go fishin!

Thanks for the update. I'm heading down early this afternoon and fish from low to high tide in Truro.
My last few trips yeilded nothing but there were plenty of fish swirling on the surface just before dark. I have a sticker to drive the back beaches so I'll have some mobility.
Thanks again.

I fished Head of the Meadow yesterday am (and near
Ballston) The mung came and went, not too bad. The
fishing was pretty slow. Most of the fish are off shore
and deep. I caught one small schoolies and a couple
of shad and felt luck to do so. You might try the Race
or Herring cove as I heard there were lots of peanut
bunker up that way.

good luck and post

Funny you mention the Race. Each time I made it this year, I went to Race point and walked from the light house to Hatches Harbor casting bombers. What a blast. Fish everywhere! You may want to give it a whirl too!

Bob, I may have seen you there a couple of weeks ago -
I was fishing Hatches as well - with clousers and a
sinking line - a really sweet spot (I walked over from
Herring Cove)... Should be even better in a week or
two.

Schwilp,

I haven't been there since last week of July. Those maniac "Party Goers" really p'd me off this week. Some idiot or/and his kid musta dug about a 3 foot deep hole by 3 feet wide....of course late at night...never saw it. If it was me, you would have heard me! I think they heard me in P-town center ;-);

Will be headed down in 2 weeks for a "Long Weekend!"

Aren't those holes fun? NOT...;-);

One of the unstated hazards of outer beaches fishing, especially on a new moon with an overcast when it is REALLY dark out.

I guess no one imagines that there may be fishermen stalking the beaches at night, or they simply don't care. In any case, they rarely fill in their booby traps before leaving...
