As I was flying in from Washington on the shuttle at about 12:30PM I saw a large number of birds working between Rainsford and the first of the Quarantine Rocks. I wish I could be out there, but I have to leave town again tomorrow.

Fred,

That's the first fishing report I have ever seen from a 727.
Sorry I just couldn't resist. ;-) LOL

If you are flying a lot it might be worth us all chipping in to get you one of those wireless email gizmos then you could just email us with fresh spotter reports.

I have just one question. Could you make out any splashes under the birds? If not, Next time could you ask the pilot to circle around one more time at a lower altitude?

That's why I always travel with my little two piece spinning gear. I have it rigged with 12lb test and a Kastmaster. Usually when the pilot makes his approach(especially at Logan), you have enough time to get off at least one good cast. The only problem arises when you actually hook up. The fish gets dragged down the Tarmac and you end up with an unrecognizable blob on the end of your line. ;) LOL.
