I fished the canal this weekend and did OK. I caught two keepers. There are a lot of fish showing themselves in the canal. Several people were raving about the recent bass blitz action that has been taking place in the afternoons. Although I didn't fish in the afternoons, I am inclined to believe them. I was lucky enough to be able to fish in a canal blitz a few years ago. A half mile section of the canal was filled with feeding Stripers. You could see them swimming and feeding right next to shore.
