Looks like Paul Diadotti will be named the new director of the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries pending final approval.

Is that a good thing? Don't know much about him. Then again, Coates leaving is addition by subtraction I guess.

Good question, how does he compare to Coates? Where does he come from? Let's hope the recreational fishermen in Mass. will be heard by this guy.

I talked with him once and he appeared to be siding with Coates on the issue of increasing catch totals. Appeared very inflexible at the time.
