Beaufort distance from Calico Jacks??

If I am staying @ Calico Jacks how far a run is it to Beaufort Inlet?? (by boat, nm's)

Never measured, so a guess. But running inside, down Back Sound past the Middle Marshes, 8-9 miles (statute). If running out to the bight and down the beach, probably 12-13 miles.

Inside route is more convoluted and shallower, with markers farther apart, so more care required.
