Made it to Harkers first weekend in November and got blasted by winds. Still caught a nice drum, etc. surf fishing with heavy weight, but no chance of flyfishing. My old aluminum boat was too small and light for the conditions, so we were landlocked.
Picking up a new Sea Hunt Triton 172 this weekend and wondering what my best chances are despite the colder weather. Supposed to freeze this Sunday.
Will the albies still be around Harkers in good numbers after this cold snap? Will the reds still be tailing/schooling in the marshes? We're also considering Wrightsville or Southport as other options for a daytrip the week after Thanksgiving, so any advice for those areas would also be appreciated.
