I read this year an article about the no name knot. This knot is used to
tie the shock leader to a spider knot. I know how to tie the spider but
I forgot how to tie the no name knot. It's not a huffnagle (sp?) or an
albright. It was a simple knot that was rated 100% and I could use it
for tarpon.
Do you know about the knot? Where I can get a diagram of it? Etc.
Thanks for your help.

Get yourself a copy of the latest "Saltwater Fly Fishing" mag. Then get hold of them and order the April/May 1998 back issue. On page seven you will fing a perfect explination accompanied with photos of the no name knot. It will work with any loop you form. I prefer a double loop formed by a bimini twist. It can be used for fly fishing shock leadeers as well as spin fishing leaders. Ocasionally I will use a spin rod to find stripers and always use a 30 lb shock tippit to guard against the rocks. The no name knot works like a charm and is very easy to tie. Enjoy!!!

I know that this wont help in finding the no name knot but for future reference you can use the following website for other knots.
