A couple days ago I dropped my pliers and they bounced into a 6" hole and were gone.

Yesterday while at Kittery traiding post I bought a new pair.

And today ...........

Yup you guessed it I'm standing a foot away from the hole and went to put NEW pliers into pocket. Down and bounce = splash + gone:(

Now there's an idea. I'll take some of the steel shot from my duck ammo and stuff it into some shiners.
Release the shiners.

End of day lower magnet collect trophy fish:)

Bob

I think I may you beat on total elapsed time.

Stopped at Salt Water Edge for new foreceps.

Drove down to Fort Adams.

Stepped on rocks, 3 casts, one fish

One dropped pair of foreceps.

Total time, maybe 45 minutes

I think my friends are still laughing!!!!!!

An ice fishing story, eh? OK here goes...

Once I was ice-fishing Long Pond in Plymouth on a warm day late in the ice-fishing season (mid-March) after a very cold winter. There was still quite a lot of ice built up (nearly a foot in spots), but you've gotta watch the spring holes where the ice looks solid but isn't.

Well, a guy who wasn't fishing decided it would be cool to walk his dog on the ice. He was about 200 feet away and walking toward me. He was also walking right towards a spring hole. I was about to tell him it wasn't a good idea when all of a sudden he disappears through the ice. Picture his dog cocking his head and looking down the hole he just went through, wondering what happened. Two seconds later I see the guy's head stick up. You've never seen someone get out of the hole and make a beeline for his car so fast, even after total submersion! Somehow, he was able to get out unaided...
