anyone out there fish hopkinton through the ice? i'm wondering about reports of salmon. i know they've dumped quite a few in this year, along with the usual nice trout.
thanks.

I wish. I live 7 minutes from the reservoir, 5 minutes from Whitehall and Maspenock (North Pond) and haven't had time to venture out once. So far, drive by sightings at the reservoir have revealed few people on the ice yet. The first milder weekend in Jan, I think you'll see a lot more people out there.

Bd, thanks for the reply. i live minutes away as well; just looking for some escape while awaiting the striped ones.
i can't wait for the spring on those certain flats of Mashpee!

Drove by the reservoir on Rte 85 today and saw a few guys with traps set up near the bridge and a wood fire going on the ice. No fish seen, however. Looks like the locals will be out there this weekend.
