I wanted to have a "getting started" forum on Reel-Time because so many people have written to us about how they crdit RT with helping them get started in what can be a difficult sport.

I hope that some of the regulars will feel as at home helping newcomers in this space as they have thus far in the regional forums. I know we at RT will be dropping in.

Just saying that anytime that I can help anyone with flyfishing, flytying, rod building, or where to go in RI just hollar. Maybe sometime I will get to feel comfortable on this new board. I have already screwdup one post. Flyfishing I am in my 58 th year.

Those of you who know me know I am always ready to help, albeit, some have taken my "suggestions" not as intended and that is a loss. I'm an 'old timer' but so what! Did you ever contimplate the years of hard knocks it takes to become an 'old timer'. It ain't easy.
I started with nothing and still have most of it! But again, I'm willing to offer assistance to anyone. Just don't take offence if you A. Can't understand the answer. B. Think I'm picking on you because I'm not. I have a nose to pick and that's enough.
