Yes thats right the spanish mac fishing was the some of the best fishing I have seen this year. We were casting and throughing the fly w/ double hookups happening left and rt. Some bluefish were mixed into the lot. As far as I could see, The spanish were jumping. Now we weren't counting but a friend on another boat had 90 fish by 9am, thats strong fishing.
Went into the marsh around lunch time. Spotted a school of 40 fish made three casts and had a triple hitter. There were some fish in this school that pushed 40". Not today, the puppy drum we caught were in the 25" 4 to 5 pounds a piece.
