Just a question to the Reel Time Forum..........Has anyone here ever had a Orvis rod break....?? Mine broke on the tip of the bottom ferrule and when I called Orvis they gave me an address to send it in to get "repaired"....?? I've had other rods break/or have be broken by myself and the rod companies just ask you to send it back(Redington,L.L. Bean,Diamondback) and they send you a new rod???? And Orvis tells me it will be 4-6 weeks for repair and if it is to be "replaced" w/ a new rod it will be at their discretion?? Has anyone had this happen to them...?? Thanks for any input in advance!!

From what I've heard from others that own an Orvis rod is just bring your broken rod to any Orvis store and they will give you a new 1 on the spot.

I have had the same thing happen with Orvis and Sage rods. Dropped them off at the dealer and it took three to four weeks to get repaired. I would be interested to hear how others are able to get a new rod instantly, three to four weeks is an awful long time to wait during a short season for them to make a new section and send your rod back.
