Tried trolling for great whites with my nice yellow kayak this am,:) Wish I had chartreuse, but the wind and tide made for wet ride. Put the boat back on the car and walked the beach. Although there was plenty of bird activity and lotsa bait I couldn't hook up. Used the usual O/W & C/W clousers with a few other offerings besides.
Left around 8 before the real heat kicked in.
On another note, I want to thank all the drunks and yahoos who spend the night on the beach. I've refilled my tackle box for the year. This includes a Mitchell reel that needed a new handle and pinion gear, about $17. They are good for something at times.
