Bleeding Tuna

Can anyone advise the proper way to bleed Tuna

The way i do it is to cut off the head, and put it in a
garbage pail, headfirst with ice, and mixture of sea and
salt water for a half hour and then into ice.

It is best to immediately cut the base of the gills and the tail while the fish is still alive the fish will pump out its blood as it dies. Once the fish is dead and the heart stops it is difficult if not impossible to properly bleed the fish. The process is messy but it works.
