Ok, it's time to get mad. I was fishing with a partner who is very involved in CCA, as am I, and he pointd out to me the fact that only five years ago, we would be depressed if we only got a bunch of 33" fish in a day, and now, we are stoked to catch a bunch of fish 25-33 inches in a day. Also, the fish are spawning earlier in life, with the ingnorant fools killing every "KEEPAH" they get their broom-stick rod hands on. Nature is adapting to the conditions we are putting on it. They are destroying what we all worked so hard to restore Look at Maine, slot limit or one fish above 40". Hey Massachusetts fish and game- stop screwing us over. We need to band together and fix this problem!!!

The time is now. The ASMFC will be deciding the future of striped bass management this month. For those of you who have caught large stripers, you know what it feels like to lose what we once had. And for those of us still searching the beach late at night, hopeing for a tug and a thrill of a lifetime, pulling in that monster bass, let's give ourselves a better chance than we have right now. We all want bigger fish, so let's push for it. PLEASE, send an e-mail or letter today telling those who decide how the fishery will be managed, how you feel. We need more conservative regulations than what we have today, or we won't have anyone to blame for what we get tommorrow, but ourselves!
If you are interested in expressing your opinion to the Mass. Marine Fisheries Dept. e-mail Paul Diodati (Director Mass DMF) at paul.diodati@state.ma.us by 2/15.
