Friday, saw blues at Shagawong in the morning and then nothing from there to past Ditch Plains. All the bait I had been seeing on the south shore seemed absent, and the regular spots to catch bass near shore didn't produce (well, actually I saw a bunch of porgies, managed to land one!).

Mid day, took off for Gardiners. Found a small pod of albies at East Plains Point and got lucky. Then found some more towards Bostwicks and got my first albie on a crease fly. Saw one albie swipe at it, next second another came up and nailed it.

Wanted to see the point at sundown, so headed back. The blues at Shagawong were on bunker, fleeing in the air.

Point had some albies, got lucky again.

Saturday tried Eastern Plains Point. Again, small pod of albies. Got lucky just as Josh and his pop left. Then died.

Went to the Point, saw nothing, went to south shore, snotty from the onshore, saw nothing. Went back to the Point and pulled a few bass from the bottom near the lighthouse. Saw a few albies, but not much.

Then around 3 PM, the albies came up well for an hour and a half outside Turtle Cove. Got some.

By about 4:30 PM, there were more boats than albies. Waited around for a low light frenzy, but gave up around 6 PM.

Tuna,
Did the shore bound thing on Fri out at
Montuak and didn't fair very well. I had
heard that the south side held the bait but
the wind was blowing a good stiff westerly in
the pm and I gave the north side a shot over
by gin beach. Managed one blue about 5lb before
calling it quits.
Got up a 4am to get a shot
at some albies from the east jetty. Was out there
at the tip before sunrise. Na da. I guess the albies
decided to sleep in. Back home tonight and giving
my home waters a try tonight.
