Glouscester, Rockport: How long do the bass and blues hang around?

Was kinda disappointed with my last trip to this area and was wondering how long the bass and blues hang around.

When I lived up on the North Shore a few years back, I was catching schoolies at Lead Mills in Salem Harbor up until Halloween. I'm sure you're going to be okay for the next month or so. As far as bigger fish are concerned there should be Bass action in and around the North Shore for quite a while.

Cape Ann has tons of bait and plenty of stripers, and this should hold for a while. Columbus Day is the earliest that I would ever think of hanging things up, and the fishing can be good long after that.
