anyone fish the mouth of the ct river latley?

I will be targeting stripers and mabye some bonita and false albacore around old saybrook. Will be fishin in the mouth of the river and around long island sand shoal. Water temps would be appreciated, anyone know if there are hickories in the river(ct river)?
havent been there for awhile any info greatley appreciated!
