Does anyone have any suggestions on where to fish for stripers during late November? I am a strictly a wade fisherman. Thanks

I think unless theres a herring run -- which I understand there has not been for the last six or seven years -- Montauk will likely be over by then. Last year, on the weekend before Thanksgiving I had tremendous success on the beach between Shinnecock and Moriches Inlet, particularly at Cupsogue with bass well over 30". The fish were running the beaches chasing peanut bunker (which has not been as prevelant a bait this year). As I remember, early that week there was a big storm, temps dropped big time and that was it for the year. Bottom line: I think you want to look at reports closely and be willing to do a lot of driving around to wherever the migration is.

Thanks for the response, I'll do my homework and expand my territory as you suggested...the inlets seem a likley haven for hold overs and resident fish..till then
