Hey Guys,

Why don't we have a "reel-time" get together out at Montauk this weekend so we can all meet eachother and possibly do some fishing together before the snow flies. The weather looks good, there may be some tuna (Schoolies) around just offshore (close), or just meet at a dock for a good boil-up with some coffees or brews and share some stories or techneques.

My boat is at the Montauk Marine basin. I think it would be fun for all of us to meet eachother and put faces behind the posts that we read. I also welcome any of you on to my boat. I have no plans to take anyone else fishing this weekend, so I am totally openned. I can take at least 4 or 5 of you guys out at a time. I would also love to meet some of you shore bound guys, and take you for a tour of you favorite beaches for you can see them from a boat.

Hopefully I'll get some responses, and we can all enjoy one of the last weekends out on the water, and celebrate what was truly a great season.

Howie

Please post your responses on the board. No need to email me directly since this is not a private party, it's an invitation

Are the Fish still on the Gardiners side of the point. Or do You have to fish the coves under the lighthouse? Just curious!

Howie,

That sounds like a fabulous idea. We have been playing E-mail tag on occasion, it would be nice to meet.

I will be out Fri night- Sunday noonish, and should be able to steal away from the family for a little while...

Name a time.

Andreas.

If I'm around this weekend I'd like to meet up with you. Not sure if I'll have the time to go out on the Venture this weekend, but let me know when and where and I'll try to make it. Alternatively, maybe I'll look for you on the water if you're near Shagwong or the point.

Gonna pass this time, as I plan to do the boat move from Montauk back to 3 mile harbor Saturday (by water). I'll keep my eyes out for your boat, though, and stop by to say hello if I spot youse guys.

Hoping that the water temps are still near 60 and we get one big albie palooza before I hang it up. Sounds like the right kind of weather, and they were in good last Thursday and Friday, but its always hard to predict at this time of the year.

Good to hear from you. Maybe we should meet either morning, mid or mid day and all spend a few hours on the water on the water. If you want to meet at my boat, that would be great. Best for me would be around noon on either Sat or Sunday and possibly fish a bit for a few hours. Noon to one on Saturday would be perfect. Let me know who can come that time, or what time they would prefer. Howie

As per my e-mail, I am going out on one of the guide boats on Saturday. Would probably be able to do a late afternoon drink. Not exactly sure as to the timing of my trip yet. My Sunday is still unclear at this point as to whether or not I will be heading back towards the city. If not, Sunday works also, anytime. Again, absolutely a great idea that is appreciated.

My cell number is 516 818 8199. I will try and coordinate it so we can all do a little fishing and shoot the S--t. If anyone is able to meet me out at Montauk on Saturday or if it's better on Sunday, please give me a call today (Friday) so we can plan to meet at my Marina (Montauk Marine Basin).

The Montauk Marine Basin is off West Lake Drive. The number there is 631 668 5900. You can have me paged (Howie on the Venture) if you need to call at the last minute. My cell reception at the marina is marginal. The boat's name is the Venture (37' Topaz).

It would be great to meet up. A bunch of my friends and I are going to be out Sun. We plan to hit Shinnecock until high tide ( praying albies run the channel ) and then make our way over to the point. I'll try and stop by. If the fishing is good it may be later.

Howie,
Sorry I wasn't able to take advantage of
your nice offer. I was fishing the Northfork that
past weekend. Hope the offer comes round again
next year.
