Hoping to get one last weekend of fishing on the North Shore. Have not been out in a few weeks, but wondering if Manchester Harbor/Salem Sound still producing. Taking out a newbie to flyfishing and would like to find some fish, even if small.

There were fish in the Manchester/Magnolia stretch as of Tues 10/16.

i fished magnolia in the hard surf on Wed, and managed one really big strike and about 200 gallons of salt water in 45 minutes. i took refuge on the essex river later on with no luck. the were feeding birds about 1/4 ile out though (off magnolia), and i saw a guy catch a dozen or so mckeral in about 2 minutes in Gloucester Harbor later on that day. i confirmed at bait shop thata bunch of macks had jut showed up, so there is a lot of bait. there are still fish there.
