Fished the Surf Fri/Sat/Sun under the lighthouse - Small blues and a schooly or two all over the place. NO KEEPERS ;(!!! RATS! Fished The point from pre-dawn until 11am Sunday without even a follow. Had to catch a plane and call it a season. At least the weather was beautiful!

Nice to hear from someone fishing from shore.

After many weekends with no luck, I went out to Sammy's beach Sunday am (9.30- 11 am). Many large blues were cruising close to shore, interested in most flies presented. First 2 chewed off my leader, after putting on wire landed 30" and 27" fish, tremendously strong fighters, jumping and long runs. Last fish snapped 15 lb tippet during a pulling match (I thought he was ready to come in- I was wrong). Had to leave for brunch- many fish still cruising.

It is nice to see fish close to shore again....
