I guess not many people decided to battle the wind Saturday. It was brutal. Worst day I've taken out the fly rod this year. The blues disappeared off Shagwong to be replaced by dozens of pods of albies. Put a buddy his first albie third cast. Wind pushed us beyond the pods within a couple casts so it was tough fishing. A fish on the third cast made it seem too easy for him. Moved around the point when the pods became too spread out and found just as many albies off the light. The waves coming in along with the chop made it too tough. Managed a few more albies and some blues over the course of the day. I was surprised to not see many bass. Albies much more prominent. Let's hope this cold front doesn't send the Alberts away. I'm hoping for a couple more days.
