It has come to my attention from reliable sources within the commercial fishing industry that in reaction to groups like the RFA pushing against the commercial fishing industry, the commercials are organizing an effort to block the flow of bait to dealers in the recreational bait business thus sticking it to tackle shop owners and recreational fishermen for their support. In particular they are upset about the effort in the past few years to block or close the menhaden fishery. It is time that we as recreational fishermen find ways to work with the commercials rather than constantly butting heads. While there are some issues that we will clearly never agree on there are many others that we should be working together on.
