Are there no slips available on the Cape?..I'm talking about private marinas? Anyone aware of any slip possibilities on Cape Cod. I live in the mid Cape area. How far to do have to go until slips are available. (Onset?)I'm not seeking low priced public slips. But the full priced private slip.

Short of being on a waiting list for MANY years, the only way I've been able to find a slip is to buy a new boat from the marina, a somewhat steep price for admission. I.E. I know that Bass River marina will get you on a slip if you buy a new boat from them (the carry Mako and Wellcraft). Great Marina, a little far down Bass River though (20 - 30 minutes in the summer to get down the river to the sound because of boat traffic).

Continental Marina in Buzzards Bay had a few slips as of last week, $97/foot includes dry storage for the winter. Although it is off the Cape it may be your only choice around here. Sometimes you can find one in late june if someone has to pull there boat out for some reason. Then it is all timing showing up at the right place at the right time.
