The Ross Reels Canyon Big Game LA is exceptional! They are a true large Arbor and work beautifully. I have caught Tarpon ( 150 lbs. +); Albie; Stripers to 45 lbs.; Reds;Sea Trout; King Salmon to 50 lbs.Large Jacks to 35 lbs.

The quality, service dependability, and price can not be exceeded by any other company. I have fished Abel, FiNor; Tibor all excellent reels. However quite pricey and no better than the Ross in performance! i have used ross Gunnisons for over 9 years with no problems.

Have never owned the Canyon LA reel.But can tell you that there Gunnison#5 is one of the best I have owned.Have used this reel since 1998.Light,all the drag you need,will hold about 180yd's of backing,plus,10wt flyline.Easy to maintain.
