I was going to put this in the Humor forum, but I'm not sure how much that's read....
OK all you Rhody-philes, check out:
http://www.rilaughs.com/index.html
Warning #1: It helps if you know Rhode Island trivia (minutia?).
Warning # 2: This is most definitely *not* politically correct.
My personal faves: the RI Trivia quiz, You Might Be Portugese, and O'Donnells Top 13.

That's not a triva contest, its the entrance exam. You'd be surprised how many New Yawkahs fail and have to move to Connecticut.

your absolutely cerrect! Canewitch.
I worked spent a ton of time in Davisville working with a car-hauling company and had to return to NY because I couldn't say Quohog or is cohog? I fished Allens Harbor, the Wall and that other Q word I couldn't say Quonchan aah you know Quonny Pond. On top of the problems with Q's I failed the RI Swamp Yankee test and had to slip out of the state under the cover of darkness. Can I come back?

Its not saying dumpsta, its smoking pot by the dumpsta with the mayor(any mayor, as long as they was born heeya). Oh, and don't forget as you pass ovah the bordah-turn your right signal on and go left. We'll see youse at the cove by the bridge that burned down in the 50's.
canewitch,
I thought the right turn signal was a Worchesta, Ma. affliction.
I always associated Rhode Isalnd drivers with the wide left turns from the far right lane and stopping in the "wroatary" to apply lipstick. I knew the guy who burned dat bridge! He use'sta live on Federal Hill. He and I were in the Marines together on Okinawa in 1959! I hear he's now living near Duxbury, MA in a Federal Witness Protection Program and his last name has been changed to sound Polish. His first name is still Jerry. Ooops! I didn't realize that he established a Little Rhody landmark? He was a very cool dude!
Speaking of Mayors, How's Mr. C doen? He and I useta eat oysters at dat restaurant near the State Court House in Downtown Providence. That was about the time dat rich guy, Von Bugle or or Von somten or udder was be tried for knocking off his wife by feeding her very rich desserts! He usta recommed the dessert to the rest of us in the restaurant during the courts lunch break. We figgered he was the most knowledgable about the dessert stuff, ya know!
I been by that dumsta! But didn't smoke! That how I falied the Swamp Yankee test. Dat and the fact I couldn't stand "Contra Danc'en!
I love RI, And I want to come back! It has a history no other state has.
The only thing I don't want ta do is go up the maaalll and take a haaarrrt atack! The EMS types are known for going thru your wallet up there, ya know!

Waddya mean goin thru youse wallet! I expect a tip if I'm saving youse life!
CW, does this mean I can come back to little rhody and hang out in the south counties?
I hear rumors of a fish camp set up near Charlestown for outastate guys to stay when they're fishing the bay! I unnerstand it's set up like a barracks and women are allowed to come on the property to have dinner with their gentlemen friends, but can't stay the night. Have you heard that runmor! Is that a RI mating ritual or sometin' ouddastate guys have to adhear to?? Maybe a rule RI guys started to keep the wimmen to themsleves? I noticed they were a jelous bunch whend I worked on the pier in Quonset Point. Did you know that Quonset is the only RI Q word i could evar pronounce like a local clam diggaahr! Quhogger??
I'm passin thru on my way to the Monomoy trip in june. I'l check at the Statie Barracks in Chepatachet, RI on Rte 44 to see if my picture is still on the wall. If it's gone, I'm moving back! And dats a fac, Jac!
:D RJ:confused:

Maybe its just a coincidence, but the local shark fishermen started that camp and its nickname is the Chum Shack...Enjoy your stay, and know you'll be helping a worthy cause!
