hey guys like i said in an other forum im new to this fly fishing. i do a lot of cape cod canal fishing and beach fishing. this year i put a way my herring stick and am trying to learn to fly fish. i just bought a 9wt 9ft temple rod and a okuma 10/11 interigity reel what do you think and what line should i put on it for someone going to fish buttermilkbay and maybe learn how to fish the canal. i need all the info you got from what line to the backing thank you

jj- Its funny your asking for advice because I was jus thelping a gent with his casting and he was throwing the temple fork 10wt 4pc. For the areas you mentioned I go with an intermediate line and a fast sinking kine- your choice of brand. For backing I use braided dacron 30# test and haven't had any trouble. As for the lines try some if you are freindly with someone running a fly shop- they usually have some test reel set up and they would know whats on the reel, and get the one that feels good to you.
