I'm looking for some feedback on Cortland's new intermediate striper line. It looks great, but has anyone fished it yet? How does it cast? Does it help to trim back the long front tip, as they suggest in the adds (for large flies)?

I have the 555 Little Tunny in 9wt Int. Sink, Camo. I've only fished with it 3 times but I like it. I didn't cut it and had no trouble casting a deceiver/clouser hybrid that I tied with the x-large size eyes. It's very slippery, almost feels like wet cooked spagetti for lack of a better comparison. The first day I fished it the wind was probably 15K and coupled wth using a new rod it took me a few casts to get it going. Once I got the feel of the new rod I had no trouble casting in to the wind 40-50'. The other days were much calmer and again I had no trouble with it. If I had to have a complaint at this point it would be that it might be too slippery...a few times it went right out of my fingers while casting and stripping.
