electric trolling motors

I want to add an electric trolling motor to my 19' Carolina Skiff(used to fish the bays and backwaters). The boat manufacturer says to use a minimum of 42 punds of thrust w/ a minimum 42 inch shaft. I can do that with a 12 volt. Am I better off going to a 24 volt 67 pound thrust despite the extra weight and expense? I want to get it right the first time. I intend to mount the motor on the front deck. Any tips or thoughts on installation?

Forget about the boe mount. Your flyline will be forever tangled in it. Definitely go with the lenco trim tabs. Expensive but well worth it.
