sorry about this lack of salt water content. i usually like to stick to the prescribed topic. but...

i think that this is one of the best fora out there on the net - any subject. so it goes without saying that this forum is pretty much the best one i've seen fishing related. here is my question:

I like to fly fish for trout as much as i like to fly fish for stripers/blues/albies (although i caught a flounder for the first time on the fly the other day on the MV.) Is there a forum out there where anglers can chat about New England trout fishing?

additionally, does anyone know any good reports websites for trout in new england? right now i go to flyfishing.com, the flyfishingconnection.com, and the fly fishing resource guide (flyfish.com) but these are spotty at best and really do not have realiable posts. maybe anglers just don't want to populate their spots!

any input would be appreciated.

But, the best I can suggest is to do a search. Im sure you have already tried that.

If you do find a good link, please post it here. Like you, I have searched unsuccessfully for a freshwater board that is as useful as this one is for the salt. I don't think one exists, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

also run Fishing New England, which had the stocking reports, and a board for MA. Maybe we should just bite the bullet and add a fw New England board here.

I'll bring it up with the moderators.

I caught my only flounder on fly on East Beach, MV last year...on a 6" squid fly. They're pretty aggressive little fish.

I can't speak for New England but Connecticut has a couple good frewh water / river reports. CTFISHERMAN.COM has a fresh water area. FRAA.ORG has 2 connections for fly shops
and Farmingtonriver.com is another fly shop that has excellent updates on a daily basis. CTRIVERSTRIPERS.COM is another.
