Through someone I work with, I'm being offered 1st refusal on a boat being sold. At this point , details are sketchy, but here's what I have been told. It is a 1974(?) 19' Aquasport with a 1974 150 HP Johnson (did Johnson even make a 150 in 1974) in need of a head gasket (runs good now anyway). It also comes with another 150 HP motor with a new lower unit (why is there a new lower unit? is my thought), running status unknown. Also comes with trailer.All items are supposedly well taken care of and in very nice shape. I will be contacting the owner tomorrow, hopefully to have some questions answered and get further details.
With this limited info, can anyone tell me A) Is this boat possibly worth the $4000 he wants
B) Where can I look up the value, other than NADA. I looked at NADA and it said this setup was good for only about $2000.
