Hi, this is my first time on the freshwater board. I just have to tell some one how cares about my fishing today. It was rainy and over cast at 8:30 this morning so I made my way to a place I know there is a huge brown. I call him Albert as in Fat Albert and Albert Einstein cause he has never been caught. Anyhow, for starters, Al took a swipe at #10 stimulator I was chucking -- missed him this time -- jumped up and down and cursed --you know... But... I had a fine time with his realatives.

Here is how it went -- I just can't give away the spot up--lets say it had a very fast current that piled up around a slow pool--sixty feet to reach it. I think every brown in this section were piled up here and I was the only fisherman. I the smaller fish say 16 inches occasionally flew straight up out of the water. There was no hatch going on, no surface life of any kind--perhaps they were snatching terrestrials? My first fish was a solid 18 incher which barely put up a fight. The second was Albert who I missed. The next was a 16 incher - a better fight but still weak. I thought this was a time to get the camera and ran back to the car. I was not disappointed. missed a few and hooked a twenty incher and got a picture. I almost killed that fish keeping him out of the water for say 15 seconds. I thought the water must be too hot or something. Another 20 incher took the hook deep and without a net it took me a while to remove the hook -- he went belly up and I went waist deep to retrieve him and revive him--I had on my shoes and wallet but I saved him. The smallest fish was 15 inches and was gill hooked -- I had him for supper and unfortunately another 18 incher just plain expired while I was taking a deep hook out.

I lost track but it was the most fish and the biggest fish I have ever taken. To think in worst time to fish for trout!

My bent on the this is that the fish had been stuck on the bottom trying to survive the heat and when last nights cold snap came and morning rain cooled things off they went nuts.
Checking the stomach of the killed fish I found no food! Nothing! Trully, I thought I caught every big brown in this rediculously heavily fished spot--but no... I left at one and they were still at it...

I will never see the likes of this again!
