I am new here on LI and looking for somewhere to get my salt fix on the North shore. Are there any good spots near East Setaucket? Setaucket area? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Dules, there are lots of good spots in your area. I belong to Eastern Flyrodders FF club and I know many members fish the area. That being said I have not fished the area myself. Most of the areas or beach access is restricted to residents. The point west of Port Jeff harbor and the cedar beach area are very productive but I am not sure about access.
Shinnecock is good this time of year and it a county park so access is OK. Good luck!

Ghost,
Thanks, I will be trying Cedar beach tommorow morning, I don't have many salty flies but I will be tying more shortly and I am going to try like hell! After buying a Suffolk county map I have realized it is about 10 min away. Thanks!

Dules, Consider joining a Flyfishing club. Eastern Flyrodders meets once a month on the second Tues at 730pm at Indian Island Golf course in the club house.
