Just as things get turned on, the weather is predicting the worst....Expecting POSSIBLE gail winds out of the north west by late Wednesday throughout New England. So here's the plan.

Get out tonight (Monday) and fish your brains out Tuesday.... It should be great, expecially with the fish feeling the drop in the barameter.

START THE STRATEGY NOW. Do a little coughing and work today (Monday), and start telling people that you aren't feeling that well, and then after work, get your butt out to Montauk tonight to fish tomorrow.....You'll have a great day, with the fish all to yourself, except for the other's who did the same.

Don't forget to leave a voice mail message tonight on your boss's phone that you're running a fever and won't be in. And tell your wife tell anyone who calls that you are sleeping......You only live once..........You get old very fast.

Howie, There is a storm off the outer banks that looks like it could cause trouble in the next few days.I wonder if thats why these fish are feeding so so heavily now? The last blow took a few days to settle things down and the water was milky on the southside this weekend. Keep an. eye on the weather channel.

The NOAA report suggests a couple days of fairly heavy surf - -5 to 6 -- and windy on Wednesday -- 25-30 NW. However, it looks like it will get out of here quickly and settled down again by the weekend. It doesn't look so crazy as to dramatically impact the fishing.
