If you're in the market for a new reel but can't stomach the prices these days I found this online. Let me start by telling you that this reel is not indestructable. I found this because my reel just like this finally wore out. The drag gear wore out after 5 years. I'm sending it in to get a new gear. I will also tell you that this would not end your day of fishing. You could let all your line and backing out, flip the gear and retrieve with the opposite hand for the rest of the day.
This reel has served me well and the day it wore out it handled at least 15 albie runs into the backing. It won't stop a truck, but with a 15 lb. tippet, who needs a reel to.
I have the large, but if you order the med or xl you get a free spool. Not bad for about $100. You can buy 5 for the price of an Abel and you would have 10 spools.
