I'm confused by the Redington posts. Are their large arbor reels no longer available? Which line is their current offering?

They are still available. The latest models should be the most improved with the only difference being these have a full warranty. Believe they run about in the 150 dollar range. Everyone got a little excited, me included, when Orvis offered unwarranted ones for around 60 dollars. There are probably a few still around. However, I would be careful of ones being sold at nearly full price which don't have the warranty on ebay and such. The unwarranted ones have a circle with a line through it inscribed inside.

Thanks. I checked their website and I didn't see the AL versions. Where are people getting them?

I've heard that there are a LOT of Redington's being offered cheaply on Ebay right now. Undoubtedly a re-cycling of the Orvis sale-outs. It might be important to find out whether any offering has the warranty voiding mark or not. Since I picked up 4 I haven't bothered to look.

I have looked at the Redington site and noticed that they are saying that they will honor warranties of Orvis blowouts (I think).
