Was fishin' off the rocks,
up on the North Shore,
Started catching a few big ones,
And wanted a bunch more,
They was sucking down bunny flies,
Size 2 and no bigger,
I tried a 1/0, but they wouldn't touch it,
Hmmmmm, I said, go figure,
Got my buddy Stillwaters onto the pod,
He found out what "lifting strength" meant,
Cuz crack there went his rod.
Another buddy Pete,
said "I'll join you what the hell!"
That lasted bout a minute,
Until he got whacked by a swell,
Just then some numnut,
A boat manned by a fool,
Decided to get in on the action,
by running directly into the school.
Well the linesiders booked,
And headed down the coast,
And me, Stillwaters, Pete and the boat schmuck,
Well, we were all toast.
Now this poem has a good ending,
never you fear,
Cuz that's wwhen I said,
Boyz, it's time for a beer.

The cracking sound of my rod haunts me. But at least I landed the fish.

4-6 weeks for a repair. Could have been the end of my season if not for the generosity of the folks over at River's Edge.

well done! fishing is ART as much as science. and so it is with the "telling"...
