What would be the best bet for a Tuna Charter in the next two weeks out of Long Island or New Jersey? Friends from work want to do a six pack charter. They were originally thinking about tuna but after being discouraged on that score by someone in Montauk, they are now talking about doing a bass charter out of Montauk. I, for one, am not big on trolling parachute jigs or fishing chunk baits and I know that's what it will end up being. I'd like to get them back on the tuna idea if I can find an encouraging word. I'd say the range is from Barnegat to Montauk.
