Looks like things may not be quite as bad as the forecast looked yesterday. While still 30+ mph tomorrow, it's now looking to be SE becoming SW, which is MUCH better than E and NE in terms of scattering the bait and keeping some water somewhat buffered. It also is looking like it is going to subside more quickly than predicted yesterday.

At least, that's the story for now...let's keep hoping the blow stay southerly and is less than expected.

I know some folks fishing today (Tues)...if I get a report on whether things have improved since the weekend blow, I'll let y'all know.

Just heard from one guide who's out today, and so far....nothing but a few blues here and there. Grrrrrrrrr.

I would say the current forecasts look a little worse . . . 50 to 60 knots out of the Northeast. Ugly. At least it looks like it may pass quickly.

It would also still be interesting to hear a report after last weekends storms. A few reports on the noreast site suggest at least a few schools of fish around.

Hope the Montauk run is not at a premature end.

Yeah NOAA for tomorrow worstened since my earlier post...on the upside, though, the fishing report improved: heard the albies were going very strong this afternoon. Only a couple boats on them because the morning was lame.

So, fishing survived the last blow...let's hope it survives the next 36 hours.

I think if it survived the last one, it will survive this one.
