Cattaraugus Creek

Heading to this river in Upstate NY next weekend.
Anyone ever fished this river with any success?

Jim, We fished the Catt last Saturday. There were 3 of us on the river, we landed 8 steelhead and lost just as many. Saw a few other guys who really knew what they were doing, watched one guy land 10-12 steelhead in short time fishing the same slot. It was a great river, I'm looking forward to a return trip in the future. Thanks anyway for the info....Ken.R

Hey, Ken. Glad to hear you did so well!! Timing is everything on the Catt. Run-off (snow melt/rain) can mess it up in a hurry. I was going to suggest some alternative spots if you hit that problem. There are some smaller creeks and other spots that are good back ups. But I can see you didn't need them! Take care.
