Fish are getting their pre-spawn feed on right now. Very close to shore in most ponds. Water is around 50 degrees currently.
Saturday-Worked a pond with a few friends. While I kicked around in tube they tossed from shore. I took two 16 inch rainbows, and a 12 inch brookie. One of my friends got a small brown, 17 inch Tiger and Rainbow. The other friend got a 15 inch Brown, and Brookie.
It was a great day, fish weren't moody at all, no stockies in the mix of fish we caught. I also dropped a very large brown I picked up right on shore throwing a small bugger. Fish was behind me in 2 seconds, leaped about 2 feet in air and spit the hook out.
Sunday-The holdovers were moody. Besides a couple hits, nothing. I worked 2 ponds in the little time I had before the rains and winds came in.
