Striped Bass Feather Brain--Movable Gills

I have been experimenting with a concept.. this is a big fly tied as a striped bass and there is no epoxy at the bottom of the head... There is a gap to the hook shank where the water flows in Bath tub tests and flutters the red gill and grey gill plate which is not covered by epoxy... This movement surprised me...

Thanks Q..that's an ecouraging comment.... just FYI... There is a book coming out this summer as a second book for innovative flies... I will be writing a section on the Cape for the author. You may see some of these in there if he thinks they should be.
