Heading to A-1

Kicking off my ice fishing season this Sunday at A-1 in Westborough.
Anyone else sharpening their augers for this weekend?

How'd you do? I'm headed to Chauncey in Westboro this Friday with a couple of Cape Codders driving up to meet. Wait'll they see all the snow! If you can get out there Friday, drop by.

No chance on Friday Bill. Weekend looks good though :)

Did pretty well. Enough flags to go through two dozen Shiners on five tip-ups in four hours. All Large Mouth 14" and under but for one Pickerel that swallowed the hook because my flag had frozen to the ground :(

Didn't check out Chauncey so I can't report on the ice there but A-1 had a solid 7" with snow on top.

Came back up from the cape last sunday but by the time I finished cleaning the driveway , time was limited and energy leves were low so I did not head to A1 until Monday. I went thru 1 1/2 doz shiners felt it was slow for most of the tip ups.

1 pickeral and maybe 10+ bass. Did bring one real large bass to the hole 4-5 # Need to bring a scale some day.

I'll be there one of these days this weekend.
