Further proof that "ice fishing" should be called "ice drinking."

That one goes in my screensaver folder.

Ice fishing don't count. What fly did you use?

if there is any kind of fishing that beer/spirits go best with, its definately ice fishing. Lots of hanging out & waiting. A small BBQ is also a must have.

That brookie was actually caught 5 ft under the ice in 55 ft of water. We were set up for salmon with smelts. Almost as weird as the 6 lb smallie last year at Norway Lake, ME. Caught it 3ft under the ice in 30 ft of water....??? Catches like that bring me back each year while waitng for the stripes return. You just never know!!:)

YM, nice squaretail!

Catching cruising fish just under the ice is common...I always set at least one tilt "high". Set 2 "high" and 2 "low" and then switch to all of one if the fish show a preference.
