Blue Crab with Olive carapace

Picked up some Golden Pheasant at the show and it had perfect olive colored feathers ... Not sure if this pic gets it but his fly is only 1 inch long and under an inch wide.

Nice fly. Is the body made with epoxy? Looks like it might be a bit heavy if it is.

Yes it is... but I have thinned it out on the later versions. I wa getting reports that it was heavy for Bonefish...but it really is no issue for stripers.... I have thinned down a bunch of them which I have sent to D. Brown last week ...I am anxious to get his report and what he thinks I need to do to turn it into a Bonefish fly. The little Brown crabs I sent him will be used in Mangroves and not flats... the blue crabs are for the flats. Here is a picture of a toned down one.
