Imagine mounting one of these (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/horizontal-item.jhtml?id=0013841015250a&navAction=jump&navCount=4&indexId=&podId=0013841&catalogCode=ID&parentId=&parentType=&rid=) on the inside of your yak, up against the sides. Would be a great way to store fly boxes, bogagrips and all those things that like to sink if you flip.

Mesh bags work well too. I use them all the time.

It's been done. Just consider the possibility of entrapment when you install them and load them. If you usually fish with a spray deck in place think about putting a small Beckson cover thru the deck of the spray skirt so you can get at stowage without pulling the skirt, probably manage an access plate one handed.

I fish SOTs exclusively so mesh bags present no problem at all.
